Snickerdoodles

1 c shortening and/or butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
(2 Tbsp sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon mixture)

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cream shortening/butter and sugar, then blend in eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to wet. Form into balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture before placing on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
